About Kome

Cultures from every corner of the globe have laid their roots in the city of Los Angeles, creating a melting pot of differing cuisines & helping LA to achieve international recognition as the epicentre for street-side fusion cooking. At Kome, we take inspiration from these street vendors by serving up the most in-demand dishes from countries as diverse as Korea, Mexico, Japan and Peru - to name but a few. Whether we serve you bulgogi fries, a tuna tataki tostada or a kimchi quesdilla, each bite will whip up the flavours that explode into the warm night air of LA.

Small Boys

KIMCHI - £3.00
One of our founders, Andy, has become quite the dab hand at creating this traditional fermented Korean side dish made with Chinese cabbage - spicy, zesty and damn good for you.

PICKLES - £3.00
This carrot, cucumber and radish pickle is sweet and tangy and is made by the loving hands of our master pickler.

ESCABECHE - £3.00
Our red onion, jalapeño and carrot escabeche is an ode to all things Mexican - fiery, potent and proper tasty.

CHIPS AND ASIAN GUAC - £3.00
At every Mexican restaurant in LA chips and guac is your first port of call. We give it the Kome slap on the butt by adding pickled peppers, sesame oil and wasabi.

HABANERO POPCORN - £3.00
Cheese, habaneros and popcorn? That shouldn’t work but oh how it does.

TUNA TATAKI TOSTADA - £6.00
Two stacks of mind-blowing flavours that explode in your mouth - sashimi grade tuna tataki, beansprout/coriander/lime kimchi, pickled ginger and a gochujang aioli.

FRIES - £3.00
Good ‘ol classic French fries for those who like to keep it crisp.

ANTIQUE SALAD - £6.00
Kale, coriander, rocket, spicy peanuts, queso fresco, onion, cranberries, sesame, tortilla chips and pomegranate vinaigrette - healthy and yummy!

NAM JIM SLAW - £4.00
Our chef Chris’ number one hit! Bold Asian flavours with Mrs Smith bringing the fruitiness... Granny Smith, daikon and wasabi cashew slaw on a Chinese leaf with Nam Jim dressing.

KIMCHI QUESADILLA - £6.00
Freshly made flour tortillas are filled with Gringa Dairy’s queso Chihuahua (quite possibly the best cheese you’ll ever find), smoked pancetta and kimchi then fried for that gooey sensation!

BARBACOA QUESADILLA - £7.00
As above but we throw in some 10-hour brisket barbacoa to the mix: meat + melted cheese = heaven!

CHILLI CHEESE CURDS - £7.00
Chris’ homemade spicy chilli is a killer on its own, however, put some deep fried panko encrusted cheese curds, sriracha crema fresca and spring onions on top and you have a party in a bowl. ( Just cheese curds - £6.00 )

BULGOGI FRIES - £7.00
Our signature dish: French fries topped with bulgogi marinated rump, queso Chihuahua, spring onions, sriracha crema fresca and kimchi - quite simply the ultimate comfort food! ( Kimchi Fries - without meat - £6.00 )

Big Girls' Blouses

Our take on the Korean rice bowl. All come with: jasmine sticky rice / thai basil / baby leaves / asian broccoli / pickled radishes / queso fresco / crispy onions / crushed peanuts / salsa verde / sambal and .... an egg.

STICKY PORK BELLY - £10.00
Slow cooked, tender pork belly in a sticky agave sauce with a crunch of crackling.

BRISKET BARBACOA - £10.00
10-hour cooked beef brisket barbacoa - deep yet zesty flavours that perfectly compliment the mighty brisket.

KOME BBQ CHICKEN - £10.00
A sweet and spicy Korean marinade perfectly compliments the succulent Chicken thighs.

AGAVE AUBERGINE GUISO - £10.00
An old school Mexican stew given an Asian facelift - think agave, soy and sesame in a flavour fist-fight.

Little Moons mochi balls are soft spheres of scrumptiousness with a deliciously chewy outer layer wrapped around fiendishly tasty gelato centres, choose from - yuzu, toasted sesame, raspberry, chocolate ganache or mango chilli.
